As well as the commitment of our staff, we pointed out in last month’s Connections the effort to maintain the elevated standards of our club by replacing many pieces of equipment in the BellaVita fitness area and the complete renovation of fitness areas at the Of course, it is the membership support that is at the foundation of maintaining the standards of the Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club. At no place are the benefits of the membership more evident than in the operation of our restaurants. Our restaurants offer outstanding food service at an attractive value. The theme nights and rotation of menu features offer variety and affordability that will rival any apple to apple comparison in our local area. As you can imagine, during the midst of the summer season many people are traveling and the restaurants do experience a slowdown. I urge everyone to make your club restaurants the facilities of choice when dining out. By using club restaurants you help assure that we operate efficiently and help our many quality servers to remain associated with the club and loyal to its membership. I would also encourage members to stop by The Grille Lounge for some great live entertainment or to watch a daytime sporting event while enjoying a drink with friends. Many members, particularly our golf members, have recently been made aware of our new plans to own and operate the golf pro shops at both of our country clubs. Historically, under the ownership of Peter Summers, these facilities have operated continuously and successfully. With the transition, we will work to further enhance this facet of the golf facilities. For starters, the pro shop servicing The Meadows & Oaks will be undergoing a substantial renovation and facelift. In addition, as requested by members, we have plans to expand the retail offering to a wider selection of signature club apparel and specialty items. In conjunction with this announcement, there have been rumors circulating about the future operation of our golf program. I just want to assure everyone that the golf operations at Citrus Hills and Skyview will continue to be under the leadership of Peter Summers. Pete has been at the foundation of the great success of our club’s golf program from the beginning and will continue to be at the helm in the future. The operational modification related to the pro shops will only work to enhance the importance of golf at our clubs. Well, by the time the next Connections arrives, the summer season will be phasing out and we’ll be staring at the start of the fall season. So don’t lose the moment. Get out, enjoy your fellow members, and have a great summer!
