    π‘ͺπ’Šπ’•π’“π’–π’” π‘―π’Šπ’π’π’” π‘ͺ π‘ͺπ’Šπ’•π’“π’–π’” π‘―π’Šπ’π’π’” π‘ͺπ’π’π’Œπ’Šπ’π’ˆ π‘ͺ𝒍𝒖𝒃 π‘»π’†π’‚π’Ž π‘ͺπ’–π’Šπ’”π’Šπ’π’† 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 π‘΄π’‚π’ˆπ’Šπ’„ 𝒐𝒇 π‘·π’–π’Žπ’‘π’Œπ’Šπ’π’” 🍽️ πŸŽƒ πŸ‚ On a crisp October afternoon, the Team Cuisine Citrus Hills Cooking Club gathered for a festive luncheon, where the spotlight was on pumpkins β€” an ingredient often associated with autumn and hearty meals. The event, aptly themed "A Thing About Pumpkins," was a true celebration of this versatile fruit, which appeared in every course of the meal. Our gracious host welcomed members to a table elegantly adorned with fine China and October-themed decorations, featuring β€” of course β€” an abundance of pumpkins. The meal began with a savory pumpkin soup, followed by an indulgent pumpkin lasagna. Dessert was a delightful trio of pumpkin treats, including cookies, pumpkin roll, and bars, paired perfectly with iced tea. As we enjoyed our pumpkin-inspired feast, we also learned some fascinating facts about this seasonal favorite. For example: Pumpkins come in more than 45 varieties, ranging in colors like orange, red, yellow, and even green. Some of the more whimsically named varieties include "Hooligan," "Cotton Candy," and "Orange Smoothie." Although technically a fruit, pumpkins belong to the winter squash. In addition to its festive uses, pumpkins are packed with nutritional benefits. They are low in calories and rich in potassium, vitamin A, and beta-carotene, making them not only delicious but also a healthy choice for seasonal cooking. As the Citrus Hills Cooking Club members can attest, there’s truly something special about pumpkins β€”whether they’re featured in a savory dish or a sweet treat, or simply serving as a charming autumn decoration.
